“Sealed” 3-finger centric gripper DPZ-plus for maximum moments in wet conditions

Applications in wet conditions require powerful, effectively sealed gripper modules, which do not allow any substances from the environment to penetrate the interior of the module. Grippers are truly put to the test when they are in continual contact with coolant or other emulsions when loading and unloading machines, such as in the case of sanitary blocks, grinders, lathes or milling machines, for example. Sealed grippers are not restricted solely to these handling tasks however – the high-quality sealing of these modules makes them suitable for permanent use in painting plants, powder applications and even in submerged conditions.

APS-M1 Analogue Positioning System guarantees precise grip measurement

SCHUNK GmbH & Co. KG is releasing the new APS-System. The new distance measuring system determines the jaw travel during the gripping process thus also determining dimensions of the gripped component.
The system consists of a sensor (APS-M1S) and analysis electronics (APS-M1E). The sensor is mounted to the gripper by means of the mounting kit (AS-APS) and connected to the analysis electronics located in the control cabinet via a cable. Since these are standard products, the adapters are suitable for the PGN-plus parallel grippers and the PZN-plus centric grippers. Adapters for other grippers are available on request.

Servo-electric 2-finger parallel gripper PEH 40 from SCHUNK guarantees large strokes and precise gripping

Actuation and synchronisation of the new SCHUNK gripper are done through a powerful servo motor. Combined with specially guided base jaws in T-slots, this motor allows for precise and force-controlled gripping of large workpieces. The robust T-slot guide furthermore guarantees high load capacity of the gripper. The finger stroke of 60 mm and the high gripping forces of up to 1,200 N, as well as the stable guided base jaws make the PEH 40 a strong module for many different applications.
