Start signal for expansion of automation plant
The rapid growth at SCHUNK continues. In Brackenheim-Hausen, a production hall with an area of 5,000 sq. meters with annexed offices is being built directly next to the plant of the automation division. The official ground-breaking ceremony took place on August 3, 2007. Starting in June 2008, about 70 employees will produce customized functional assemblies for automation solutions in the new building.

New gripper segment – launch of the SCHUNK COMPACT class

Transparency through differentiation. SCHUNK has restructured its line of pneumatic grippers by dividing it into three segments. The middle segment forms the "SCHUNK Compact" gripper class, which provides all essential functions and can be supplemented with many accessories and therefore offers an outstanding price-benefit ratio. Two new grippers mark the start of this new middle class: the JGP parallel gripper and the JGZ centric gripper.

Launch of quick-change system SWS-I

The new quick-change system creates maximum flexibility. Six integrated 3/2-way clamp-in valves eliminate not only entire valve terminals, but also the installation of bundled cables and wires. Grippers and other tools can be controlled easily and with very little commissioning effort via the integrated valves – making single hose connections a thing of the past.
